Hey, I’m Jason. I’m 800+ weddings in, and what I do is fairly simple: be a calm presence through the most important day most people will ever plan, and hand it back to them afterwards.
Approach
A decade of shooting weddings teaches you one thing above everything else: you will only consciously live a fraction of your own wedding day. The rest of it you will be too busy being inside of to actually see. Your dad’s face as you walk in. Your best friend crying halfway through a toast. A grandmother reaching for your partner’s hand during the first dance.
My job is to see all of it without you ever feeling watched, and to give you back the version of the day you were too busy to notice.
The pictures themselves are clean, crisp and real. No heavy filter that will look dated by your fifth anniversary, and nothing posed and then dressed up to look candid. Just the day the way it happened, edited to look as good in twenty years as it does the week after.
Alongside weddings I shoot professional headshots, family sessions and commercial work, from a base in Des Moines and out across Iowa and the states around it.
